The US Marshals Commemorative Proof Half Dollar is comprised of .920 (92%) copper and .080 (8%) nickel with a diameter of 30.6mm and a weight of 11.34 grams with a reeded edge. The obverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz and features an Old West Marshal on horseback and a modern day female US Marshal in tactical gear. On the reverse, designed by Susan Gamble, Lady Liberty is holding the scale of justice in her left hand and the US Marshals Service Star in her right.
